Kia Rio Price in the Philippines (as of March 2012): The Kia Rio is a popular subcompact vehicle that is manufactured by Kia Motors since 2001. It is known as the “New Pride” in its home market in South Korea and has become one of the most favorite cars among Asian female buyers. The Kia Rio is available in two body styles: four-door sedan and five-door hatchback. Both can be configured with inline-four gasoline and diesel engines, and front-wheel drive.
The 2nd generation of Kia Rio’s exterior features the “Tiget Nose” grille, which has become a trademark of modern Kia vehicles. Inside the car, the steering wheel has been redesigned to have the same look as that of the Kia Soul and the Kia Forte, with Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone operation, and the gauges cluster has a new red backlit. The Kia Rio offers the same budget-friendly price as the Kia Picanto. However, I think the Kia Rio gives you more value for your money since it is a lot bigger than the Picanto hence it is more comfortable to ride and has bigger space for cargo and passenger.
Based on Hyundai Accent, the latest (3rd generation) Kia Rio was showcased on March 2011. The new Rio features a 1.4 L and 138 horsepower (103 kW) 1.6 L Hyundai Gamma engine with GDI and Dual-Continuous Variable Valve Timing.
