There are three capacitive touch buttons, barely distinguishable amidst the large screen and small bezel, situated underneath the display. There is a microUSB 2.0 port, as well as HDMI via microUSB. The LG Optimus 4X HD is also capable of acting as a mass storage device and can use the USB port for charging. It has NFC, DLNA, MHL, Tethering, Computer sync, as well as OTA sync. It also has Bluetooth v 4.0 as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.

The LG Optimus 4X HD features a developer tool located on the top left hand corner of the screen that shows exactly the performance of each of the quad-core. As if those weren’t enough yet, the LG Optimus 4X HD is running the latest Android OS version 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich. There is a minimal user interface overlay brought by the ICS that gives the user interface a bit of distinction from all other smartphones. This phone has excellent specifications and features but has buggy software. Seems like LG’s weak area is in the realm of software testing. The auto focus feature of the camera has become a nuisance when video recording due to its being slow and and is always activated by a sudden slight change of image and not by the objects in the camera appearing near or far.
