Motorola DROID RAZR Android Smartphone

Motorola DROID RAZR Price in the Philippines, Tech Specs, and Other Features: The Motorola DROID RAZR is currently one of the hottest things to have popped up into the mobile phone market. It was first released by Verizon at a very steep price of $649.99 –contract-free, but can also be bought at half the price but with a two-year contract on the side. The best price for this baby is being offered by AmazonWireless, currently at $199.99. However, ordering from this site might cause you to wait another eight to nine days since they are already having backorders. But what’s 8-9 days compared to the amount of money that you get to save, right?
However, be it at $649.99 or $199.99, is the Motorola DROID RAZR really worth going bananas over? How well will its features stand up against all the other Android phones that have currently invaded the planet? With all that technology cropping up in every corner, what does it have to offer that would set it apart? Let’s look into those now.
Looking at the phone, one cannot deny the obvious aesthetics. Its impressive slim design is definitely eye candy and having one in your hand could add plus, plus points for sophistication. On top of that, one of the great things about this phone is that it is not as fragile as it looks. It has KEVLAR coating together with Corning Gorilla Glass that makes the handset extra sturdy and virtually scratch-proof. However, there was this guy who posted at a forum that he performed a simple scratch test on his RAZR using his house key. He stated that he could still see the area where he scratched his screen even after cleaning it with a microfiber cloth. I guess that one was a bust then. You’d have to get a good screen protector for your phone to maintain its screen’s pristine shape.
The Motorola DROID RAZR makes use of Super AMOLED display that makes it great for outdoor use, but falls a little bit to the side when compared to the Retina display of the iPhone 4S. Its internal memory consists of 16 gigabytes worth of internal storage with 1 gigabyte of RAM, and an expandable memory of up to 32 gigabytes. Now that for me is a big plus. The only phone that could match that would be the Samsung Galaxy S2 / S II.

When it comes to multi-tasking, you would be pleased to know that the RAZR has a 1.2 GHz processor, which would make everything easier for you. You can browse the web, play games and do a whole lot more while still in a call. It has artificial intelligence programmed, making everything faster and easier for you. It bases on your common patterns and behaviors, thus increasing efficiency and saving on battery life. This phone currently has the best battery life out of all LTE devices as of current. Oh, an important factor to know is that the DROID’s battery is non-replaceable and non-removable.
I have always been impressed by the quality of the photos that a Motorola handset could take. This time, they even amped up their game by putting on an 8-megapixel camera at the back of the phone. In my opinion, all camera functions should be adjustable so that the photos can be manipulated according to the user’s specification. The downside with the DROID’s camera is that the white balance cannot be adjusted, which somehow results in a cool photo. The best way to go around that would be to place your camera setting on portrait or sunset to take a better picture.
After all that, I am still yet to mention my favorite feature. That would be its Android 2.3 mobile OS – also called the Gingerbread. It is currently one of the fastest and most stable operating system versions to come out from Android. SIP or Internet calling and enhance gaming are just some of its features that would get any user’s heart pitter patting.
All in all, I’d give the whole thing a score of 4 out of 5. It is a leap above previous Motorola models and I’d pit it against the iPhone 4S anytime. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the way I see it, you cannot get a phone THAT loaded for anything less.
