Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Android Smartphone

Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Price in the Philippines, Features, and Other Info: One look at the newest addition to Motorola’s line of smartphones, and I suddenly felt I needed to have one right now. The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx looks just as great as it sounds, and its specs are astounding. It’s a great toy for the very active and the very busy and needing a longer battery life as compared to other phones. A strong smartphone that makes you do more and be more.

As always, the design of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx did not fail to impress. I love its elegant lines and shiny cover. It sports a huge 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen with a Corning Gorilla glass coating to keep it from getting scratched and only weighs 145 grams. It is also only 8.9 mm thick. But do not let its frail look fool you. This smartphone is made from top-notch material that makes it one of the sturdiest phones to date. The phone’s casing is made from KEVLAR fiber and everything has a splashguard coating to help protect it from dampness.

The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx comes with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB worth of RAM, and an Android operating system. Though it currently has the 2.3.5 version, or the Gingerbread, it is upgradeable to the latest 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a capacitive touch screen with multi-touch and Swype functions.

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and 8x digital zoom and captures videos at 1080p HD. It also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera that can also capture videos at 720p HD. It also has both a 2.0 USB port and an HDMI port.

By far though, the best feature of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx would be its battery life. Being a smartphone of that size and loaded with numerous Android apps, the battery life could not be that great. However, Motorola was able to fashion a killer battery that gives you up to 21.5 hours of talk time and 380 hours of standby time.

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx puts 3G phones into shame with its 4G LTE features. You can zoom through your daily tasks without missing a beat. Streaming videos, chatting, uploading, downloading, etc. – everything had become faster. You can even turn your phone into a Wi-Fi sharing device. You also get Motorola’s MotoCast that allows you to access your personal files at home without having to go through a third party application or software. This makes everything safer and all the more easier.

Though a lot of critics have stated that the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx is exactly like its predecessor, the Motorola Droid RAZR, I’d still spend some money on this one since it gives me more battery life. It has been said that it will be available in the UK around the middle of May and the price estimated to be somewhere around £300-£400. Pretty decent for a smartphone that does everything and gives you the longest talk time a 4G phone has ever seen. This gets 4.5 out of 5 stars rating from me.
